Colloid Carcinoma (Mucinous Carcinoma)
Idc type: mucinous carcinoma of the breast. Mucinous carcinoma of the breast — sometimes called colloid carcinoma — is a rare form of invasive ductal carcinoma (cancer that begins in the milk duct and spreads beyond it into nearby healthy tissue).
SYMPTOMS
The tumor, or lump, is the main symptom of mucinous carcinoma. However, in cases affecting the breast, you may have additional symptoms of invasive ductal carcinoma. These include: swelling of the breast.
CAUSES
Mucinous carcinoma of the breast (colloid cancer) mucinous carcinoma or mucin-producing carcinoma is a type of invasiveductal breast cancer. The distinguishing feature of mucinous carcinoma (sometimes called colloid cancer) is the production of mucus.
